Paradise Valley has no clearly defined borders. Starting on the North from just South of Shea Boulevard, to just West of Scottsdale Road, to Tatum Boulevard and 32nd Street on the West and McDonald Drive on the South. These boundaries are very irregular and one has to pay special attention to the individual location of homes on these borders because many may have the same zip code, 85253, as true Paradise Valley. The dominating factor of homes in PV is the fact that all homes have to be on lots of minimum, one acre. There are a few exceptions, but these are few and are located within subdivisions that have been granted a variance. PV is very well known for the high value of it’s homes, many of which are located on the mountains, Camelback and Mummy, within the area. The zoning in PV has no provision on commercial projects and those that do exist are few and grandfathered in. Resorts in PV are rare and the most favors is Camelback, which boats two eighteen hole golf courses and a world renowned spa amongst it’s many amenities. The most recent and very popular hotel that has been opened in PV is the Montelucia, very elegant and very popular, also having extensive spa facilities and gourmet restaurants. Currently the old Mountain Shadows Resort site is being developed as a boutique hotel surrounded by various sized residential projects. PV is known mainly for the elegance of it’s homes and the affluence of their owners.
